Kerstin Jantke

I am a senior researcher at the University of Hamburg in the Research Unit Sustainability and Global Change.
My research focuses on developing quantitative approaches to solve challenging problems in the conservation of species and ecosystems and on nature-based mitigation of climate change. This includes how to measure progress towards conservation targets, how to evaluate protected area systems, how to place protected areas cost-effectively, or how to align mitigation of climate change and conservation of biodiversity.
