Kylie Pitt is a professor in the School of Environment and Science, Griffith University and leads the 'Griffith Sea Jellies Research Laboratory', a unique collaboration between Griffith University and Sea World. Her expertise involves the ecology of pelagic ecosystems, in particular the role of gelatinous zooplankton in the trophodynamics and nutrient cycling of coastal waters, ecology of marine invertebrates and the use of marine protected areas to conserve marine invertebrates.
