Dr Lana Mitchell is an Advanced Accredited Practising Dietitian (AdvAPD), Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA) and Senior Lecturer at Griffith University. She has a passion for improving systems, processes and people in order to achieve high-quality outcomes and make a difference in people’s lives. Lana completed her PhD in the area of improving the delivery of nutrition advice in general practice. Her research focuses on improving the delivery of nutrition advice in the primary care setting, career pathways of dietitians, evaluation of dietetic and education services and the development of dietetic graduates. Lana has extensive experience in student education, focusing on developing practice-ready dietitians, who can expand the field of dietetics to meet the changing needs of our population. Lana brings together her research, teaching and private practice experience to influence the field of dietetics.
