Senior Lecturer, Griffith University

Dr Lanita Winata is an academic staff at Griffith University, Australia since 2005. Lanita did her PhD at Griffith University and obtained the degree in 2005. Lanita also did her MBA at Western Michigan University, USA. She obtained her Bachelor in Accounting from Gadjah Mada University, Indonesia, the 1st rank university in Indonesia.
Lanita’s teaching and research interest are in Performance Management incorporating Culture, Managerial behaviour, Management Operation Research, Sustainability Management, Corporate Governance Marketing Strategy, Business Strategy, and Information Technology and Communication (ICT). She has a number of publications in high rank Excellent in Research for Australia (ERA) listed International Referred Journals including British Accounting Review, International Journal of Hospitality Management, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Accounting and Organisational Change, International Journal of Business Research, and Journal of Academy of Business and Economics and many other international journals. She published an Accounting Principle textbook, which was used for many years by all universities under Catholic University Association (APTIK). Recently she has published a Managerial Accounting textbook, which was published by Cengage Learning Publisher, Australia. Now this textbook has been used by several universities in Australia.
Lanita also has a number of years of experience in supervising PhD students. She has a supervision strategy, which helps her PhD students complete the degree within 3 .5 years. One of her his PhD students was awarded Griffith University’s medal for Best Thesis.

Besides being an academic, Lanita has many years of experience as a Certified Public Accountant in Indonesia. She is one of the partners of an International Accounting and Management Consultant firm, HLB Hadori & Co and is well experienced in auditing, tax consulting, management consulting and preparing corporate for IPO. Now she is also a Certified Public Accountant Australia.
