Louisa Smith

Louisa is a Senior Lecturer in Disability and Inclusion at Deakin University. Her research focusses on using participatory, co-design and arts based methods to include people with disabilities, including dementia, in research. Louisa is particularly interested working with people with disabilities who are often excluded from research, including people with late stage dementia, LGBT+ people living with dementia and people with disabilities from refugee backgrounds. Louisa is currently leading a Medical Research Futures Fund (MRFF) grant to develop models of care for LGBT+ people living with dementia.
