I am an Associate Professor and the Division Chair for the Division of Rheumatology who works as Educator Leader-in-Residence at Queen's University to study the integration of anti-racist pedagogy into teaching and learning at Queen's. Formerly, I worked as Director, Diversity and Equity for the School of Medicine. Along with Dr. Stephen Archer, I coordinate Medical Grand Rounds for Queen's University Department of Medicine.
I am a graduate of Queen's University Medical School, and completed postgraduate training in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology at Western University. I have completed a Master of Education degree (Health Professional Specialization) from the Ontario Institute of Studies in Education at the University of Toronto. My interests in medical education include role modeling in postgraduate medical education, the hidden curriculum, professionalism and transformative learning.
