Marian Eide

My research and teaching focus on twentieth-century and contemporary literatures, ethics, aesthetics and violence. I have published over a dozen articles and book chapters as well as Ethical Joyce (Cambridge 2002) and Terrible Beauty: The Violent Aesthetic and Twentieth Century Literature (University of Virginia Press 2019) and am co-author with Michael Gibler of After Combat: True War Stories from Iraq and Afghanistan.
