Marianne E. Krasny

Professor of Environmental Education and Civic Ecology, Cornell University

Marianne E. Krasny is a professor in the Department of Natural Resources and Director of the Civic Ecology Lab at Cornell University. Her books include Civic Ecology: Adaptation and Transformation from the Ground Up (with K Tidball), Urban Environmental Education Review (with A. Russ), Communicating Climate Change: A Guide for Educators (with A. Armstrong and J. Schuldt), Grassroots to Global: Broader Impacts of Civic Ecology, and Advancing Environmental Education Practice. She has served as lead instructor for multiple environmental and climate education online courses and fellowships for international audiences, and was director of EECapacity, EPA’s National Environmental Education Training Program, and of the Garden Mosaics community gardening intergenerational education program. Krasny is a Public Voices Fellow with The Op-Ed Project and an International Fellow of the Royal Swedish Academy of Agriculture and Forestry.
