Marieluise Jonas

Program Manager in Landscape Architecture, RMIT University

I am a German Landscape Architect and have practiced in Germany and Japan before starting an academic career in Australia.

The work that I have been initiating in Japan as part of the Post Disaster recovery of Tohoku has inspired hope and change in communities in Japan, led students to outstanding achievements in winning major awards and is continuing to shape the discourse in Landscape Architecture in strengthening the discipline’s contribution to designing sustainable futures.

I am interested in how Landscape Architecture can change the future through progressive and meaningful contribution in design.
