Senior Lecturer Criminology, Murdoch University

Mark holds a PhD from the University of New South Wales and a Master of Strategic Affairs Degree from the Australian National University as well as three other post-graduate and one under-graduate qualification. Mark has interests in Criminology, South Asian Studies, Political Extremism and Terrorism. He has lectured and presented at the Australian Defence Force Staff College, Charles Sturt University, Curtin University, RMIT, Oxford University and University of Portsmouth. Mark has appeared in media in Australia on such providers as the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) and foreign media such as, British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), La Tribune in France, Asia News Singapore and Newsweek Japan. Previously Mark was Head of School at the Australian Graduate School of Policing and Security at Charles Sturt University (CSU), NSW. Apart from managing the Graduate School Mark coordinated blended learning programs for the United Arab Emirates Government, Indian Government and coordinated programs for Chinese Government students in Shenyang and Hangzhou China. Mark also enjoyed a career of over twenty years in the Commonwealth and State Governments in criminal justice, security and law enforcement in which he was decorated for his achievements by Australian and Foreign authorities.
