Up to March 2015 I was a Principal Lecturer in Education at the University of Roehampton for 10 years. Before moving into academia, I worked in the Department of Research and Statistics for the Assessment and Qualifications Alliance and for a test development agency. In the past I have worked in the development of educational programmes with campaigning NGOs and charities.
My research interests are: Online marking in HEIs, the impact of testing in schools and international assessment regimes. Citizenship education is my other key interest. I recently directed six EU partner teams for Creative Connections, an EU-Funded project - www.creativeconnexions.eu/cg/
