Maureen Rischmueller

Rheumatologist and Associate Professor, Discipline of Medicine, University of Adelaide

Associate Professor Maureen Rischmueller is a Senior Consultant Rheumatologist, Rheumatology Department at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital and Royal Darwin Hospital, and Clinical Associate Professor, Discipline of Medicine, University of Adelaide.

Her main research interests are within the realm of inflammatory rheumatic diseases including Sjogren's syndrome, systemic lupus erythematosus, rheumatoid arthritis, and vasculitis. Her translational research program investigates pathogenetic mechanisms, novel auto-antibodies, genetic risk factors, clinical manifestations, and new treatments for autoimmune rheumatic diseases. She is Co-chair of the Sjogren's Syndrome Special Interest Group, OMERACT, and a member of the EULAR (European League against Rheumatism) Sjogren's Syndrome Task Force.
