Md. Al Amin Sikder

PhD candidate in Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, The University of Queensland

Md. Al Amin Sikder is a PhD candidate in Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at Faculty of Medicine, University of Queensland.

He is investigating the influence of the microbiome on the severity of viral bronchiolitis and subsequent asthma development in the Respiratory Immunology group at QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute under the supervision of As/Prof Dr Simon Phipps.

Prior to starting his PhD candidature in October, 2015, he was working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Dhaka, Bangladesh (currently on study leave).

Mr. Sikder obtained Master of Pharmacy in Pharmaceutical Chemistry degree from the same Department securing 1st position in the 1st class and a Bachelor of Pharmacy (Hons.) degree, from the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Dhaka, Bangladesh securing 2nd position in the 1st class.
