Michael Robinson

Professor and Chen Fong Fellow in Entrepreneurial Finance, University of Calgary

I have an undergraduate degree in computer science from the University of Waterloo and an MBA and Ph.D. from the Ivey School of Business. I hold the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and am also a Certified Corporate Director (ICD.D). I have practical work experience as a computer programmer and systems analyst and worked for three years in the Canadian venture capital industry during a three-year career stop out leave. I am an active angel investor and have served on the board of directors of multiple corporations and other organizations. I was the first site lead for, and am the current Academic Director of, the CDL-Rockies program and have been studying the issues associated with raising capital for early-stage ventures for over 30 years.
