Emeritus Professor in Behavioural Neurology, UCL

Professor Trimble is emeritus Professor of behavioural neurology to the Institute of Neurology, Queen Square, London. His research interests have been in neurological disorders, such as epilepsy and movement disorders and he has made a special study of alterations of emotion interlinked with neuropsychiatric disorders. His more recent books include explorations of the cerebral basis of religious experiences (Trimble MR, The Soul in the Brain - the cerebral basis of language art and belief. John Hopkins Univ Press, Baltimore 2007). His current interests relate to emotional responses to the arts especially music.
