Michele has been involved with innovation research and policy in some capacity over the last nine years. He is currently a Visting Innogen Research Fellow at the University of Edinburgh, and a Senior Analyst at RAND Europe.
Prior to working at Innogen, he was an ESRC Research Fellow at Kingston Business School investigating skills and research policy in the UK and Ireland, and the management of knowledge workers in the pharmaceutical and IT sectors.
Before moving to the UK, Michele was a Senior Policy Advisor for the Ministry of Research and Innovation in Ontario, Canada, where he managed research funding programs targeting local universities and research institutes, as well as provided policy advice on various issues.
Michele has a PhD in Political Science from the University of Toronto, and believes that flights of fancy are an underrated mode of travel.
