Nidia Bañuelos received her BA in Sociology and Public Policy, with honors in Education, from Stanford University in 2007. She has a PhD in sociology from the University of Chicago (2016) and was the Sociology librarian at Emory University from 2015-2016. She is currently a postdoctoral fellow in the School of Education at the University of California, Davis, where she is working on a book on the history of for-profit colleges and universities in the United States.
