Patrick Lecomte is professor of real estate, Université du Québec à Montréal, School of Management (ESG UQAM). His research focuses on real estate innovations and smart buildings. Before moving to Canada in 2021, Patrick was based in Singapore for 12 years where he worked for ESSEC Business School (France) as Deputy Director of Excellence Centres and Henley Business School at the University of Reading (UK) as Associate Professor in real estate finance. While based in Asia, Patrick collaborated closely with the real estate industry and conducted research on Asian commercial real estate markets, corporate governance of the Asian listed real estate sector as well as innovations in real estate (e.g., property derivatives, digitalisation, tokenisation). His research has been published in books, academic journals, industry publications, newspapers and magazines.
