Dr Paul Williams is an Associate Professor of politics and journalism at Griffith University's School of Humanities, Languages and Social Science. He has a special research interest in Australian federal and state elections and voter behaviour from which he has published in such scholarly journals as The Australian Journal of Political Science and The Australian Journal of Politics and History. He is a regular columnist for The Courier Mail newspaper, and is a regular political commentator in the electronic media. His most recent book is a leadership analysis of Australia's 19th prime minister, 'John Grey Gorton: Australian to the Bootheels' (Connor Court 2020).
