Peter Klein

I am a professor at the University of British Columbia's School of Journalism, Writing and Media, and previously served as department head. I founded and run the school's Global Reporting Centre, in which we study the global journalism landscape and seek to improve global reporting practices. I also founded and teach the Global Reporting Program, in which we work with graduate students around the world to study and practice global journalism. I previously taught at Columbia University. I'm a regular contributor to The New York Times, CBS News 60 Minutes and PBS Frontline.
