Ranjani Somayaji

Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine, University of Calgary

Dr. Ranjani Somayaji is an Assistant Professor and Clinician-Scientist with the Department of Medicine at the University of Calgary. Dr. Somayaji completed her specialty training in adult Infectious Disease in 2015 followed by a Masters in Public Health and further research training at the University of Washington. Clinically, she works as a consultant in the hospital and also has a focused practice working with persons living with cystic fibrosis as well as those with chronic wounds. Dr. Somayaji has expertise in epidemiology and population-health research and her research interests include understanding the risks and outcomes of viral and bacterial infections. She is an active member of national and international working groups focused on infections and antimicrobial resistance.
