B.A in Philosophy, M.P.A. with a concentration in health policy, PhD on the therapeutic application of psilocybin completed in 2023.
23 years in front line harm reduction, community health, mental health and addictions. I started as a prison outreach worker at the height of the AIDS epidemic, helped start a needle exchange program, then founded Street Health Centre, a multi-disciplinary community health centre for people facing multiple barriers to health, including homelessness and addiction. I have taught for 16 years at Canadian university, including Queen's (Introduction to the Study of Alcohol and Drug Problems) and University of Ottawa (Psychedelics, Politics and Harm Reduction). I am also Faculty in the Michener Institute Foundations of Psychedelic Psychotherapy Program.
I am now the Research Scientist for the Queen's Psychedelics Collaborative and the Lead Clinical Trial Therapist in our clinical trial of psilocybin for alcohol use disorder, Department of Psychiatry, Queen's University.
