Senior Lecturer of Humanities, Boston University

Sheila Cordner's first book, "Education in Nineteenth-Century British Literature: Exclusion as Innovation" (Routledge 2016) explores Victorian authors' innovative ideas about education. She currently teaches a seminar on Children's Literature, the subject of her present research project. Passionate about sharing the classics with a broad audience, her recently released children's book, "Who's Hiding in This Book? Meet Ten Famous Authors" (Pierce Press 2019) promotes the message that anyone can become an author and exposes children to a diverse range of great authors. She has presented her research at national and international conferences.
