Simon Williams

My research focuses on the analysis of gravity and magnetic data, and their role in defining the extent of sedimentary basins and understanding plate tectonics and geodynamics.

An important part of my research is my involvement in marine geoscience, through voyages on the Marine National research vessels. Through these voyages I am able to make significant contributions towards the training of young scientists, public awareness of scientific research, and ensure that data collected is archived within open-access databases for use by the scientific community.
