Sonia Hines is a Clinical Research Nurse at Mater Health Services in Brisbane. Clinically, her background is in med-surg nursing, particularly neurosurgery, where she worked for several years. For the past five years she has worked in the Nursing Research Centre at MHS; some of that time concurrently working at the Dementia Collaborative Research Centre at Queensland University of Technology. Her main research focus is on evidence-based practice. Systematic reviews of evidence are her special nerd subject and she has published seven Joanna Briggs Institute systematic reviews and one Cochrane systematic review. Sonia is in the final stages of completing a Master of Applied Science (Research) degree at Queensland University of Technology and plans to continue to a PhD after completing a graduate diploma in adult and tertiary education.
