Soushieta Jagadesh is currently pursuing post doc at ETH following her PhD in Emerging Infectious Diseases at the Institute of Research for sustainable development (IRD) in France. As a PhD student passionate in emerging infections, Soushieta works on a biogeographic approach to analyse the global emergence of infectious diseases and in particular, the tropical territory of France in the Amazon, French Guiana. With the rapid changes to environment due to global climate change, she also explores its effect on disease emergence through mathematical modelling. As an avid field epidemiologist, Soushieta has worked with Ebola survivors in Sierra Leone , and was involved in field sampling of aquatic habitats in French Guiana.
