Stephanie Wrottesley

Postdoctoral research fellow, University of the Witwatersrand

Stephanie is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the SAMRC/Wits Developmental Pathways for Health Research Unit (DPRHU) at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa. She is a qualified nutritionist and holds an MSc in Public Health Nutrition from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (UK). Stephanie completed her PhD at the University of the Witwatersrand in 2018 and has since been working as a Postdoctoral Fellow supported by the DSI/NRF Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Human Development at the University of the Witwatersrand and the University of the Witwatersrand’s Research Committee. Her research focuses on maternal and infant nutrition and the impact that this has on early growth and development, as well as the susceptibility to disease in later life.
