The GTP Safety and Facilities Manager is responsible for ensuring the design and construction of all laboratories in the GTP meets the needs of the Institute and all HSE matters affecting the 125 staff and up to 200 "higher degree by research" students of the Institute and the wider Technology Precinct. In addition a division of CSIRO (the federal research organization) has now moved into the GTP. 2 new buildings are coming on-line, one of which will house the first University based Carbon fibre production plant in the world.
