Stuart Kirby

I worked with the Lancashire Constabulary, in various roles, retiring as Detective Chief Superintendent in charge of the Specialist Crime & Operations Division. Following my Ph.D. on the subject of child sex offenders (1993), I was used as an accredited offender profiler across the UK. Upon leaving the Police I went to Lancaster University (Criminology), where for seven years I taught and researched the areas of policing, organised crime, crime reduction and investigation. I moved to UCLan in September 2015.
