Torik’s work concerns energy and resource consumption and supply. With net-zero ambitions in mind, he has written about the historical relationships between cities and energy demand. He has also published research about changing patterns of household consumption in reference to the COVID-19 pandemic and what such changes mean for sustainability. Torik is currently examining plastic production, consumption and waste management practices, and how these need to shift in order to meet ever-pressing environmental and climate-related challenges.
