Associate, Grattan Institute

Trent joined Grattan in July 2015 after four years as an economist at the Reserve Bank of Australia. Trent worked on a variety of topics at the RBA including trade, commodity prices, the labour market, wages and the Chinese financial system.

Trent holds a Master of Public Policy and Management from the University of Melbourne and a Bachelor of Commerce with Honours in Economics and a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from Monash University.

Grattan Institute began with contributions to its endowment of $15 million from each of the Federal and Victorian Governments, $4 million from BHP Billiton, and $1 million from NAB. In order to safeguard its independence, Grattan Institute’s board controls this endowment. The funds are invested and contribute to funding Grattan Institute's activities.
