My research focuses on understanding the hydrodynamics of coastal environments using both modeling and field measurements. I am particularly interested in nearshore and mesoscale flow dynamics in island systems, and am motivated by how these physics inform the interpretation of ecological data such as larval recruitment and organismal behavior.
