Prof Zahir Tari is a full professor at RMI University, School of Computer Science and IT (CS&IT). He has over 15 years experience in the area of security. He extensively published as well as received funding in the area of SCADA security, including two ARC (Australian Research Council) grants in the last four years. The funding aimed to develop new methods and tools to detect cyber attacks in realtime. Zahir has also been successful in attracting funding with major companies, including Siemens/Germany. Zahir is the head of CGS (Cyberspace and Security Group) at RMIT, and it involves key researchers in the area of security (e.g. encryption, access control, information flow control, data privacy)
