Zoe Lewis

I am a MA, BA Hons from Cambridge University and a further MA in Playwriting Studies University of Birmingham. As well as being a publisher writer and journalist I am now a PhD research student at the University of Winchester
My research spans education and playwriting and aims to add to the limited pool of studies which explore the links between playwriting and its potential to increase agency and efficacy in vulnerable young people. Working with Tim Prentki, whose expertise is applied theatre and its ability to empower and motivate. The study is ongoing, having completed field work this year with a group of six young people, may also include a comparative study with another cohort of young people in an urban area of Manchester.
