Are women’s libidos a problem? Depends who you ask

Inconsistencies in measuring women’s sexual desire have been highlighted by a Deakin University study. It showed that 31% of women declared having “problems” with levels of sexual desire. A previous study, which used criteria from the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM), found that only 3-10% of women shared the same view.

Beyond revealing information about issues women might have with libido, the study shows the measures taken to assess it may need to be reviewed.
