Fatty acids fight cancer

Tiny agents found in omega-3 called epoxides have been found to block the spread of primary cancer tumours, according to new research.

The epoxides were found to prevent the currently untreatable process of metastasis (the spread of cancer to distant tissues).

In the future, researchers hope to develop an anti-mestatic drug to prevent the spread of primary cancers.
