Funding needed to improve indigenous eye health

The government must provide $70 million in funding to curb widespread eye health problems among indigenous Australians, according to a new report.

The group behind “The Roadmap to Close the Gap for Vision” made the recommendation after more than five years of research and consultation.

At present, indigenous Australians are six times more likely to go blind than mainstream Australians.
