Health inequalities in UK children widening

Health inequalities in British children have widened over ten years, according to a study of young people between 1999 and 2009.

Health inequality refers to the gap in health outcomes between groups on opposite ends of the socioeconomic spectrum – the wealthy compared to the less affluent.

Researchers anticipate that child poverty is the UK will continue to rise.
