New breast cancer genes discovered

Nine new genes associated with breast cancer have been discovered by an Australian researcher.

The new findings have taken the total number of genes associated with breast cancer to 40.

A new study of 100 cases of breast cancer has shown it is genetically diverse, with several different subtypes.
