New software deciphers Medieval scrawls

New software will allow researchers to more accurately estimate the date of when a Medieval text was written.

The University of Toronto has developed software which aggregates the occurrence of words and phrases for each time period.

The software can then estimate when an undated text was written based upon the aggregation of words and phrases in the text.

There is currently over a million undated documents in Britain.
