Senior Research Fellow in Women's Mental Health, King's College London

Abigail is a Senior Research Fellow in the Section of Women’s Mental Health. She is a postdoctoral researcher on the NIHR Applied Research Collaboration (ARC) South London Maternity and Perinatal Mental Health Theme. Abigail completed her PhD in Maternal Eating Disorders in the Section of Eating Disorders at KCL in 2013, and subsequently worked at the Institute of Child Health at UCL and the National Childbirth Trust, before re-joining KCL as a Senior Research Fellow in 2016.

Her current research programme is aimed at exploring ways to improve the health and social care, and maternal and child outcomes, for women who are experiencing perinatal mental illness. In particular, she is interested in understanding the interface between physical and mental health and healthcare services during pregnancy and in the postnatal period.

Abigail is a member of the NIHR ARC South London Maternity and Perinatal Mental Health Theme, the Institute of Women and Children’s Health Social Science group and the Marce Society for Perinatal Mental Health.
