Teaching Associate in French, Aston University

Abigail was awarded her PhD in 2016 from the University of Sheffield. Her doctoral research which was funded by a University Prize Scholarship, examined the experiences of out-of-work parents in France and the UK. Her research interests lie in contemporary French social policy in particular, family and employment policy. Prior to her PhD, Abigail undertook a BA and MA in French Studies at the University of Sheffield. Her MA dissertation examined urban regeneration in Lille and Sheffield 1970-2010. Abigail is the Prizes Officer for the Association for the Study of Modern and Contemporary France.
