Senior Research Fellow, Flinders University

Adam is a Senior Research Fellow in the College of Nursing and Health Sciences at Flinders University. His background is in social and forensic psychology, specifically perspective taking and the strategies used to understand another person’s point of view. His current work examines empathy during conflict situations on acute psychiatric units. Adam has authored over 30 chapters and articles in journals such as Personality and Individual Differences, Aggression and Violent Behavior, Journal of Relationships Research, BMJ Open, and International Journal of Mental Health Nursing. He won an Australian Psychological Society award for his work in 2010, and is a regular contributor to ABC Radio.
