Aditya is an economic theorist whose research interests cover sunspot equilibrium and endogenous fluctuations, economic epidemiology models, growth theory, general equilibrium theory, environmental economics, financial crises and financial market imperfections.

He has been working on economic epidemiology models for over 10 years and is co-editing a special issue on economics of pandemics and emerging diseases for the Journal of Mathematical Economics. He also provides expert advice to the UK government on COVID policy.
