Aditya Pradana Setiadi

Lecturer of Humanities and Culture, Universitas Indonesia

Mr Setiadi obtained a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from the University of Indonesia (2008) and was awarded a full scholarship from the Indonesian government to pursue a Master of Music in Musicology at King’s College London, graduated with Distinction (2017). Besides his academic attainment, he is also a musician, having completed a teaching diploma in piano performance under the guidance of Iravati Mangunkusumo-Sudiarso at the YPM Music School (2007). He won a scholarship from the Hungarian government to study music pedagogy at the Faculty of Music, University of Debrecen (2010). He also participated in the summer academy of Universität Mozarteum Salzburg, studying piano and German art song under the guidance of Prof Norman Shetler (2013). Mr Setiadi has been teaching at the University of Indonesia since 2009 and collaborating with Jakarta Arts Council-BEKRAF's Jakarta City Philharmonic as a musicologist-in-residence since 2016. His research interests include New Musicology and Postcoloniality.
