Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine, and Director Public Policy and Strategic Partnerships, Cumming School of Medicine, University of Calgary

Dr. Aleem Bharwani is the Director of Public Policy and Strategic Partnerships (Office of Indigenous, Local and Global Health, Cumming School of Medicine), the Lead for Public Policy (O’Brien Institute for Public Health), and the Vice-Chair of the Department of Medicine (University of Calgary). He is a specialist in internal medicine with graduate training in public policy from the Harvard Kennedy School.

In addition to annually winning teaching awards, he has been recognized for his education and policy leadership by two international societies (American
College of Physicians and Society of General Internal Medicine), by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and the UCalgary O’Brien
