Alex Conner

Reader in Biomedical Science Communication, University of Birmingham

I am a Reader in Biomedical Sciences at the College of Medical and Dental Sciences at the University of Birmingham.

My main interests are in the molecules of the brain that facilitate water-movement and swelling after injury as well as science communication and public engagement. I work with undergraduates and people without a traditional science background to create engagement and dialogue about science in general.

I am responsible for post-graduate taught education for my College and I work with private and third sector organisations for increased awareness of higher education opportunities.
