Alex Fenton graduated from the University of Bradford with a BSc in Electronic Imaging and Media Communications in 1997 and has worked in various web development and e-learning roles ever since. Alex ran a media and web development company called EDinteractive based at the University of Salford before completing a Masters in Creative Technology and PhD in social media communications in Sport.

Alex previously ran the Disruptive Technology Research Centre at Salford Business school. He is currently Head of Centre for Professional and Economic Development at the University of Chester and is an active publishing researcher in digital marketing and digital transformation. He has won a range of teaching and industry awards and published his research in some of the world's top journals. Alex loves to travel and is a travel writer and photographer for a VW magazine and loves festivals and technology.
