Alexander Howlett

Alexander Howlett’s research background is in war studies, defence analysis and historiography. He focuses on official history, strategy, leadership, maritime operations, air and seapower, diplomacy and naval policy. Alex earned his BA from the Department of History at Simon Fraser University in 2009, graduated with an MA from the War Studies Department of King’s College London in 2010, and completed his PhD with the Defence Studies Department at King’s College London in 2019.
