Alexis is an early career researcher, working across industrial relations, labour history and work, health and safety. Much of his research centres on union strategy, including generating insights from labour history applicable to union renewal today. He has published in Labour History, Labor History (US), Labour and Industry, and elsewhere, and co-edited Radical Perth, Militant Fremantle (2nd ed, 2019). He serves on the Editorial Board of Labour History as Editorial Trainee.

Alexis’ PhD in Curtin University’s School of Management on the rise and fall of trade unionism in the Pilbara iron ore industry was conferred in 2021. His research interests include union strategy, union renewal, insecure workers, and the future of work.
